I currently work at Facebook applying Machine Learning to tackle some of the most challenging language processing problems. Previously I have worked as Software Engineering and NLP specialist at SmartNews, Slice and Rakuten Institute of Technology. During my time in academia I concentrated my research on Natural Language Processing, specifically document clustering and clustering evaluation methodology (these are papers I published during that time).
I speak Spanish and English with fluency; French and Catalan with less fluency; and I’m learning Japanese. I created Tangoristo to help me spend more time reading real Japanese texts and less time doing mindless language drills.
I love brainstorming mobile applications and doing their end-to-end implementation. Lately I’ve been interested in the relation of gaming concepts to broader software and user interaction domains.
Dancing Argentine Tango is my medicine and my way of meditation.
